Hi,
I was seeing a psychic for over a year i wanted to know how to relate to a partner she told me a load of bull to be honest. When i had a reading from her i was more confused than ever before everyday would be different. She started telling me that she would be at my wedding ha ha and that i had psychic abilities whatever!!!!!!!!
She said i was my mums favourite and would often sit in front of me doing facial expressions stating that she was talking to spirits. When my then partner met someone else she stated that he was not serious about her when in fact he was to the fact that i had paint stripper poured all over my car while i was in my bed as the girl thought i was a threat. She told me to go and get an injunction on her when i didnt even know her name or where she lived and had no proof ( is she mad)
She said a lot of rubbish and made me behave like i was a complete nutter she seemed more confused than me alarm bells rang when she started saying any man that i asked her about they were all no good womanisers which was also crap i tested her and asked her about a made up person and she gave me this big story on him when he didnt even exist that was the day i knew she was a fraud.
The same things that she warned me about with men she started doing the same asking me advice and i thought if her own life is all over the place how on earth can she predict mine i realised then that i had been duped i no longer believe psychics at all i have had reading after that but pick the bits that make sense.
She was a nutter and made me look and feel stupid making me chase and hold on to someone that was a waste of time he was just a user and she was just as bad when i told her she was wrong she went mad absolutely livid she wouldnt accept that she was wrong ever when in fact she was wrong ok the guy was an immature idiot but every single man i asked her about she siad they were no good thats when i knew she was a nutter then she got done for drink driving ( considering she told me that she doesnt drink) she was raped so she said the list went on

Hi Karen,
I read your article with great interest, having worked with 'Absolutely Psychic' in the past. I thought you might be interested to know what actually WORKING with them is like.
I come from "the other side of the fence." I'm a real Tarot reader and intuitive who does NOT use hot or cold reading techniques. When I was relatively new to my practice, I thought that working for a phone line such as Absolutely Psychic would be a great way to expand my business and experience. Well, it did expand my experience.
I went through, of course, the same testing procedure that you did, only they didn't test me on the phone. (I was unimpressed with their spelling and grammar skills as well, but tried to keep an open mind.) They offered me the contract position and I accepted it. Their pay is incredibly low for this kind of work -- only slightly above $13.00 an hour, which was less than what I was making at my day job at the time. The "going" rate for a Tarot reading, by contrast, is $60 per hour.
Working for them involved covering shifts of four or five hours, usually in the middle of the night. If the phone didn't ring, you didn't make any money. The phone did NOT ring often -- but Absolutely Psychic tries to sell you a bill of goods about how you are an "independent contractor" and how you should invest in advertising for them YOURSELF! When the phone did ring, I was incredibly successful. I had one reading go on for four hours, which earned Absolutely Psychic over $700 and me...nothing. They never sent me a check.
Aside from it being a waste of my energy, I quit Absolutely Psychic for ethical reasons. I had one caller who wanted me to use Tarot cards to tell him which of the many women in his life could best be used for money. Because of Absolutely Psychic's rules, I couldn't hang up on this man or tell him that he was being a creep, which I certainly would have done if it were my own practice. At that point, I decided I needed my own practice and got to work setting one up.
Just thought you might be interested in someone else's story. Feel free to reprint this on your website if you feel it's appropriate.
